It has been determined that the Simple Wikibooks project will be closed. The content can be exported to English Wikibooks. Mike.lifeguard says that JeLuF knows the name of the script necessary. It would be good to create a Simple: namespace beforehand and import the mainspace content to that namespace in order to avoid conflicts and permit the content to continue as a subproject of English Wikibooks. This will automate what Special:Import can already do by hand.
Actually, there is no real need for a new namespace. There is only one name clash with Simple English Wikibooks content in the Transwiki namespace: a redirect to a book that is nearly identical to the one at Simple. The two are so similar that we'll either merge the two or delete the lesser one. See ongoing discussion at [[b:Wikibooks talk:Simple English merger]].
I should note that a Simple namespace will conflict with the Simple interwiki prefix unless that is disabled on English Wikibooks.
I've just deleted [[b:Transwiki:How to learn a language]]. We can now move everything over. Delete what we don't want, merge what may benefit existing content, move non-simple books into the main namespace ([[:simple:b:Geology]] is hardly simple) and decide what to do with the rest (new namespace?) in our good time.
I withdraw this bug as it seems it does not have community support behind it. Should this change it can be reopened.
