There is no option to select the Free Art License as before. So I can't upload my works on Commons because of this.
Is it desirable to other people in the project to have this option? My guess is that there are default license choices for a reason, and that uploading non-standard-licensed works is not something we want to encourage. I could be wrong. bohwaz, thanks for bringing this to our attention, I'll talk to a few different people to test the waters and see how I can help you and others who might have this problem.
In the meantime, an acceptable workaround would be to instead select "This file is not my own work", then "Another reason not mentioned above", then use copyright tags [0] to insert the Free Art License. I believe the proper text is {{FAL}}. You'll also need to fill in the original source (which could feasibly be "http://bohwaz.com/my-work.html" or "bohwaz photography weekly") and the author name (which will clearly just be your name), but after that it should be fine. In the meantime, I'll work on adding a similar field to the "This file is my own work" section for this sort of thing. Thanks again! I think there is another bug around that has a similar problem, so it'll be good to close that. [0] http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Copyright_tags
That was surprisingly simple.... https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/9341 is your patch, it's awaiting review, hopefully it works as you expect!
When the UploadWizard was developed, there was a very deliberate choice to limit the "own work" options to the 3 standard Creative Commons licenses. These licenses cover all the legitimate use cases and are designed for maximum re-usability in all jurisdictions. We do not want to encourage the use of incompatible or questionably compatible licenses. If someone insists on using a non-standard license, they are free to use the old forms, but this should be a rare exception.
