The servers for wmflabs.org zone are:

$ dig +short  NS wmflabs.org
labs-ns1.wikimedia.org.

$

Querying an A record for bastion.wmflabs.org give us no answer:

Just a note that this DNS issue happens occasionally, not all the time.
