This is particularly important for editing the description it makes clean formatting with newlines much easier), but it would clearly be useful for other stuff too.

I'm bumping this up.  I think it would result in significantly improved descriptions.

Related: some volunteers are working on edit forms in Agora style for Campaign schemas.[1] These might be useful building blocks for EventLogging schema forms, when implemented.
