On Wikipedia right now (1.16wmf4 r66325), the search box's autocomplete feature cannot keep up with fast typing. It produces incorrect searches by searching for the wrong string. This happens ONLY when using the Vector skin with the new usability initiative features. For example, I type quickly in the search box: Special:Version When I hit ENTER, the search box changes its content from "Special:Version" to "Special:Versi". My search ends up searching for "Special:Versi" which doesn't exist. Confirmed in Firefox 3.6.3 and Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 on Windows 2008 Server. IMPORTANT NOTE: This happens only the FIRST TIME for a given string. If I type "Special:Version" a second time and hit Enter very quickly, the search box behavior is correct. To reproduce this bug, you may have to type a different search string each time, or try a variety of search strings.
