Using Firefox 4.0.1. Steps: 1. Enable mwEmbed in Wikimedia Commons user preferences. 2. Go to: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Citing_sources_tutorial,_part_1.ogv 3. Hover over video, click CC, click "Universal subtitles editor". 4. Click "Done" button three times. 5. Click "Save subtitles". The following Javascript error appears at the top of the page, and the "Saving subtitles" dialog box hangs indefinitely without completing the save operation: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Index or size is negative or greater than the allowed amount" code: "1" nsresult: "0x80530001 (NS_ERROR_DOM_INDEX_SIZE_ERR)" location: "r192&uselang=en">http://prototype.wikimedia.org/mwe-gadget/mwEmbed/ResourceLoader.php?class=mirosubs,mw.style.mirosubswidget,mw.MiroSubsConfig,mw.ui.languageSelectBox,$j.ui.autocomplete,$j.ui.combobox&urid=r192&uselang=en Line: 68"] Error: Script error. This occurs even if subtitles were supplied in Universal Subtitles. I lost my subtitles work on this video, which was frustrating - if it was a longer video I would have been quite upset.
Confirmed this bug. This sounds bad. Assigned to self.
I have troubles here as well: mwEmbed:remote: r192 ResourceLoader.php:68 INVALID_STATE_ERR: DOM Exception 11: An attempt was made to use an object that is not, or is no longer, usable. openhand.cur: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) openhand.cur: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) ResourceLoader.php:87 TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'data.edit.result') and the following XHR requests: Request URL:http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php prop:info intoken:edit titles:TimedText:Citing_sources_tutorial%2C_part_1.ogv.undefined.srt action:query format:json {"query":{"pages":{"-1":{"title":"TimedText:Citing_sources_tutorial%2C_part_1.ogv.undefined.srt","invalid":""}}}} Request URL:http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php action:edit title:TimedText:Citing_sources_tutorial%2C_part_1.ogv.undefined.srt text: summary:Edited subtitles dj using [[Commons:Universal_Subtitles|UniversalSubs]] token:false format:json {"servedby":"srv218","error":{"code":"badtoken","info":"Invalid token"}}
caused by double uri encoding of the Titles: param in the post.
This fix will be part of a larger re-factor of the mwEmbed gadget to work with either a timed media handler add on or the mwEmbed gadget. Apologies for the delays.
Don't know why this is set to highest.
Universal subtitles editor is no longer used, closing this bug.
