At Special:Preferences - Date and time - Date format one is able to select several options including "no preference" which means that the standard date format of the wiki will be used. However, I think it would be useful to display the result of this setting (=standard date format) in brackets just next to "no preference". Thank you for considering this.

Thanks, but you can't use dynamic content in message files. It wouldn't pick up the correct format for all languages anyway.
As an aside, no preference doesn't just mean use standard, it also means don't reformat dates from {{#dateformat or if that magic date setting is on (Although that's probably not a large percentage of the cases where the pref does stuff)
Alright thanku :)
Marked patch as reviewed. Iswariya, do you plan on improving your fix so that you account for the suggestions and critique you have received from Bawolff and Niklas?
Hey, is this one turning into patch rot or bug rot or both? O_o
Iswariya, ping. :-)
