First, thank you for making such a cool tool and making it available to others. I have an issue that is very frustrating. In the wikipedia site I have just joined, the site has automatically capitalized my username. I do *NOT* want it to autocapitalize my username. Please turn this option OFF by default. entered "myusername" and it was changed to "Myusername". it is not the same thing.
WONTFIX, the first letter in usernames is capitalized regardless of the global case-sensativity setting to avoid future compatability issues (e.g. single login)
It is very offensive to me, in my culture, to have a name misspelled. Having said that, I can understand compatibility issues as I am a software engineer and I know that these things are hard to change. Please consider a way to fix this in the future...
Some of the Wikipedias (en: and vi: for instance) now make it clear on their [[Special:Userlogin]] pages that your nickname will be capitalized. That alone will solve most headaches. Unfortunately, that notice wasn't there when I first signed up... judah, it's now possible for sysops to change the nicknames of users; you could request a nickname that you're comfortable with capitalized.
Thanks Minh. I do not want to change my name. I do not like it but I will deal with it.
