When filing a bug for MW Extensions, there is no "Wikibase Repo" and "Wikibase Client" listed, instead there is "WikidataRepo" and "WikidataClient". They should probably be renamed since those are not the names of the extensions. There should also be a "WikibaseLib", since this is the third Wikibase extension out there.
But there is no ""Wikibase Repo"" either. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikidataRepo redirects to "Wikibase" only. :) WikibaseLib would also have wikidata-bugs@ as the default assignee? http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikibaseLib would need to be updated, currently linking to a non-existing Bugzilla component in the infobox. The link to "bugs" in the infobox on http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase and probably other pages would also need an update, plus likely a bunch of other pages out there that I am not aware of.
There also are bugs that apply across all the wikibase extensions. Right now, I have to just pick one but it's not quite sufficient.
The Extension:Wikibase page is about the "Wikibase Repo". There are also two extension pages for both, client and lib: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Wikibase_Client https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikibaseLib There is only one git repository called "Wikibase" but within that, there are three extension entry points for the three extensions mentioned above.
To summarize: OLD: NEW: HOME: "WikidataRepo" "Wikibase Repo" [[mw:Extension:Wikibase]] "WikidataClient" "Wikibase Client" [[mw:Extension:Wikibase Client]] "WikibaseLib" [[mw:Extension:WikibaseLib]] Should there be another one as per comment 2, or is it sufficient to file only one report for issues in all of them, or three reports for each of them?
I think we could have Wikibase Repo, Wikibase Client, and maybe Wikibase (covers all of them). I'm not sure what to do, but some people, like our users on Wikidata, might have no idea what "wikibase" is but will look for "wikidata". (PS - There's "wikidata" in wmf-deployment which might be okay.)
Can we please let it stay as Wikidata? I know Wikibase would be more correct but it will cause me a lot of headache having to explain this to people again and again.
Not sure this is very wise, after all, it is confusing for developers. So the earlier this mistake is corrected, the smaller the amount of communication you have to do. The community is not that big yet that it would be too late to change, when we are fully online, it might be.
No. Most people I tell to report bugs don't know that Wikibase is what is running Wikidata.
You have a point there. But it simply isn't an extension either. Perhaps we should just have our own category on here: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/enter_bug.cgi I just discovered that Visual Editor has its own category there. I think Wikidata as an comparably huge conglomerate of software and its own community behind could probably profit from this as well.

I'd appreciate if the Wikidata team could discuss what's best and then agree on what should be done. No hurry though. :)
To be honest the way it is right now is fine.
