i wanted to (re-)add the interwiki prefix "RT" to (new) wikitech. there is a classic interwiki table on virt0 in the labswiki database, so i added it like in the past, but it doesn't seem to work. +-----------+----------------------------------------------------+--------+-----------+----------+----------+ | iw_prefix | iw_url | iw_api | iw_wikiid | iw_local | iw_trans | +-----------+----------------------------------------------------+--------+-----------+----------+----------+ | RT | https://rt.wikimedia.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=$1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | +-----------+----------------------------------------------------+--------+-----------+----------+----------+ Could we please install http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Interwiki ? That would add a special page showing the interwiki table and making it easier to edit it without having to touch the db manually. That will probably only work though if we actually still use the classic interwiki db table.
https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&meta=siteinfo&siprop=interwikimap does not list it, but "iw_api" is also set to 0 as with other wikis that are not language versions of a wikipedia
Added.
thanks! . viewing the interwiki table works nicely: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Interwiki but per our chat: since this uses interwiki.cdb like in production it won't be possible to edit the table using this. i guess it is still resolved though because it is installed and we can't expect it to work more than it does now:)
If $wgInterwikiViewOnly isn't already set to true, you probably want to do so :)
done. added. root@virt0:/srv/org/wikimedia/controller/wikis/config# vi Settings.php # bug 47906, make Interwiki read only $wgInterwikiViewOnly = true;
