VisualEditor can determine if the link you are adding is a redirect or not (since Bug 50240), but it doesn't tell what the redirect page goes to. Just seeing "Redirect page" in the linking tool doesn't tell the user whether or not they're linking to the page they want to be linking to, so I think it should say "Redirect page to $1", where $1 is the destination of the redirect that's being linked.
The idea is that it's generally a mistake to link to a redirect, and it's generally discouraged on most (all?) wikis. However, yes, this might be a nice improvement.

If you're linking to a redirect and doing so is discouraged on that wiki, it's helpful to know what you should be linking to instead! :)
